Striker Goalkeeper Clinic

Bastidas Soccer Academy

This program is geared for both male and female recreational & travel-level goalkeepers and field players ages 11-15 years old. You will be taught both the technical and mental parts of the game. This program is perfect for players looking for a new level of training. It is also good for the advanced player looking to improve and refine their skills.

Enrollment will be limited to 24 field players and 16 goalkeepers.

Clinic Fee: $75 for any BMYSA registered player and $100 for any non-BMYSA registered player.

Fee includes T-shirt

Date: Saturday July 25 and Sunday July 26

Time: Both Sessions are 9:00-3:00 

Where: Back Mountain Recreation (Outlet Road) Fields

BMYSA Mandatory Coaches Meeting

The purpose of the meeting has several components. You will receive your team roster and uniforms. You will meet with your age group commissioner and members of the BMYSA board. The goals for the season and the general rules and regulations of your age group will be discussed. Your attendance is expected at the meeting.

(a U6 coach could take the U8 course if their dates don’t allow the proper course alignment)

Coaches E Course

6 hours - theory in classroom
10 hours - practical sessions on field
2 hours - practical coaching with candidates
Curriculum Emphasis of the "E" Certificate:

  • Course is offered by each state association
  • This course is the first course for coaches who will be coaching 11 a-side soccer and provides general instruction to coaching and organizing your team
  • Introduction to the methodology of coaching and the four components of coaching soccer, Technique, Tactics, Fitness and Psychology
  • Field sessions concentrate on developing technique within small-sided games that also present problems for players to solve within the game

Back Mountain Freedom finished a successful season with a 2nd place finish in the Northeast Travel league.  The team completed the season with a 5-1-2 (W-L-T) record.

Easy Online Fall 2009 Intramural Registration

  • Download & print the BMYSA Parents Code of Conduct One copy for each player registering.
  • Complete the online registration form.
  • Print the "Certificate of Intent to Register" and the "Parents Code of Conduct" and mail it to the address below with full payment.
  • If you are volunteering to coach please click here to do your Risk Management.
    ALL coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, team parents, and volunteers must complete this before they can be added to a team.  Please do this it's for our kids safety.

Performance Bond: $50 (Refunded at end of season)  if you have a bond from the previous season it will carry over to this season.

Mission:

The purpose of the Back Mountain Youth Soccer Association Intramural League is to teach and promote soccer in the Back Mountain Area.

Our objectives are to contribute to the positive physical, mental, and social development of all youths aged 5 - 19 through constructive suggestion, encouragement, and praise. 

We are committed teaching attitudes of fair play, good sportsmanship, and social interaction.

We will strive to ensure that all youths play at least one half of each scheduled game.

We will fulfill our objectives through adult/parent participation as coaches, referees,and supportive fans.

Our consistently positive attitude will motivate our players to excel

By keeping our purpose and objectives in mind we will have another successful intramural season.
