BMYSA Intramural Program

Mission Statement

The purpose of intramural soccer and the Back Mountain Intramural Program is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, be introduced to the sport, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game. Intramural soccer is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition.

Coaches are a vital aspect of our club, and are usually volunteers. We provide pre-season coaches meetings and practice session plan assistance to all coaches that volunteer.

BMYSA Recreational Program

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Back Mountain Recreational Program is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, expand their foundation of the sport, and
introduce the concept of travel soccer on a smaller and introductory scale
. The Back Mountain Recreational Program is for boys and girls who want a more rigorous training and game schedule than Intramural soccer. This program bridges the gap and transition between intramural soccer and travel soccer bringing a slightly more challenging environment. Teams will compete in the Northeast Freedom Youth Soccer League along with Kingston, Mountain Top, Pittston, Plains, Tri-Boro, and more. 10 games per season, players  U9+ will be involved in this program.

BMYSA Travel Program

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Back Mountain Travel Program is to give interested players the opportunity to play competitive soccer on a permanent team and learn the game of soccer in a fun and challenging environment.  The Back Mountain Travel Program is for boys and girls who want a more rigorous training and game schedule than recreational soccer.  The Travel program is designed to provide an attractive soccer environment that nurtures a higher level of competition. Interested players have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills while competing in higher level travel leagues and tournaments.  Back Mountain Travel teams currently compete in the following leagues: the Lehigh Valley League, PAGS, the Rock League, and the North Central Penn League.  League play qualifies a team for State Cup participation. Most teams typically travel 1 hour or less for league/tournament play and compete in around 15-20 games per season.  We currently provide our teams with the opportunity to train with college/professional level coaches.

Players from all geographical areas are welcome.  If you are interested in seeing what Back Mountain Travel Soccer is all about, please contact our Travel Program Director, Nick Raczkowski.  Coaches will invite players to an open practice with their team.  No commitment is required to attend an open practice.  If there is a mutual interest, players may be offered a place on a team roster or an opportunity to continue training with the team full time.

*Please contact our Travel Program Director, Nick Raczkowski if you are interested in starting or joining a new travel team.

BMYSA Premier Program

Mission Statement

College Showcase tournaments/events are participated in to give our players exposure to college coaches to aid them in the college search process. Most teams typically travel 2+ hours for league/tournament play and compete year-round.  We currently provide our teams with the opportunity to train with college/professional level coaches and offer a goalkeeper training program.
